Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej, who has been on coronavirus treatment in Belgrade, Serbia, died at the age of 90. It is thought that the coronavirus was transmitted to Irinej at the funeral -where coronavirus measures were ignored- of the 82-year-old Metropolit Amfilohije Radovic, the highest-ranking clergyman of the Serbian church in Montenegro.
