After the decision of the Constitutional Court that a new government can be formed without holding a snap election, Kosovo’s parliament confirmed in office a new government led by Avdullah Hoti, the deputy leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK, the junior party in the last government that initiated the no-confidence motion in March that toppled it. In an extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly, a new coalition government led by Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Hoti was elected with 61 votes in favor, 24 votes against, and one abstention. The total strength of the House is 120.
