Defense and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz, who is known to have disagreements with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the "annexation" plan, said he would not support the annexation of areas where Palestinians live heavily. Gantz also added that Netanyahu should avoid irresponsible steps that would jeopardize Israel's peace deal with Jordan and harm relations with the United States. In response, Netanyahu told Gantz to support the annexation plan, otherwise, a new election could be held.
