The Ministry of Housing and the Israel Land Authority issued tenders for the construction of 2,572 new housing units across the Green Line: 2,112 of them in settlements throughout the West Bank and 460 in East Jerusalem. Several tenders for industry and commerce were also published. Also The Higher Planning Council (HPC) of the Civil Administration approved plans to build 780 housing units in settlements, most of them deep in the West Bank in January 17.
